Be sure to ask for a room away from the street to minimize noise from passing vehicles at night.

I had a lovely time enjoying the breakfast, which was freshly cooked just how I liked it, and I loved relaxing on the sun terrace with a great view of the garden. The sun terrace and the cozy garden area were perfect for unwinding after a long day. Only downside was a little mishap with the smoke alarm, but it turned into a funny story! 😄

I had a lovely stay at The White House. The King Room with Sea View was spacious and comfortable. The staff made every effort to be friendly and helpful. The bed felt a bit bouncy, but I still managed to get a good night's sleep. Breakfast had its ups and downs. The cooked options were decent but didn’t quite meet my taste. A bit of quiet in the morning would have improved it. The price felt a tad steep for what I received in terms of breakfast. The location seemed alright, but Peterlee isn’t the most picturesque place for a holiday. Luckily, the setting of the hotel was pleasant, which balanced it out. I appreciated having tea and coffee facilities in the room and the free toiletries were a nice touch. it was a good experience and I'd consider staying again.

The hotel is a beautifully restored gem, with immaculate rooms and plenty of comfort. Breakfast was delicious, and the friendly owners made me feel right at home. The Wi-Fi worked well, but there could be more emphasis on showcasing the stunning sea views.

Couples highly satisfied
The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order, and we got exactly what we wanted, which is rare these days. Geoff, the owner, went out of his way to make us feel at home, even shared stories about the history of the place, which just added to the charm.
It wasn't the cheapest place, but given the experience, it was acceptable.

Amazing hospitality despite the rain!
Really loved the vibe here! The owner was super nice and even let me sleep in the banquet hall when I got caught in a storm. The cooked breakfast was spot on, and the shower was like a mini spa! Just wish the bar had longer hours — would’ve loved to chill there after a long day.
